Facilities at Greenfield:
Much effort has been made to aid those who might have physical, visual or hearing difficulties, so that we ALL join together in worship. During 2006, Greenfield chapel underwent some major construction alterations to help improve access for wheelchair users. A new external ramp was constructed from the main road entrance to give access straight to the hall. The removable of some pews at the rear and front of the hall has provided a spaceous area.
Further investment has been made with the installation of a T-Loop hearing system for those with hearing difficulties, and the continued use of the Powerpoint projection system.
LOWER HALL:
Meanwhile, the Lower Hall, or school room, is used for many functions, including Sunday school, Junior Church, Bible study, catering for our midweek Soup Kitchen and much more.
The church has also adapted toilets and baby changing facilties on this level, together with catering facilities that can be used for a variety of events.
Further improvements have also been made to allow access to the lower schoolroom from the garden area, and greater safety exits by the inclusion of new fire escape facilities.
The Building Fund appeal is always ongoing, and David would be pleased to hear from anyone who can assist in helping maintain these improvements for the benefit of future generations attending Greenfield.
